ABOUT US
Sharing - Village 2 Village Belize is a newly formed organization founded by the Chiac’s family. It was built on the genuine idea of taking the family’s used (but in good condition) clothes to our families in southern Belize, the word spread about the distribution of clothes and non-family members arrived from around for help.
The organization embarked on its first project in 2012 helping not just family but an array of villagers in Santa Cruz; with clothes. Our very first initiative was partnering with a youth group from Living Water Fellowship Church (former River of Life) as field representative assisting in the distribution of all items. This saw the opportunity to assist of about 100 people, male and female of all age. It is planned that in the near future with donor support we may be able to assist with food, water and sustainable projects.
The board is comprised of a Director / Finance Officer - Pantaleona Sho-Chiac, a Secretary/ Human Resource officer - Luciana Chiac,a Public Relations Officer/Planning and Logistics Coordinator - Jeremiah Chiac and assistant Public Relations Officer - Kelcie Banner. The organization has not obtain any legal status but is in the process of it.
We depend on volunteers to assist in projects, and initiative set forth. This is open to individuals who would like to partake in field work. As volunteers partake in project we included them in every report when projects are completed.
At present time the organization is assisting the Santa Cruz in Southern Belize for the primary reason that it was the birthplace of the said organization, but this will be extended to other villages in the Toledo District, then to other districts.
The target people are those in needs, no matter the age, or sex. The organization will address their needs accordingly, with them also assisting.
This organization serves Belizeans, and plans to not only cover Southern Belize but in the future plans to extend outwards, being in every village assisting people with basic needs. Its primary goal is one assist those in needs, and two bringing people together from different race, creed, and walks of life. It is important today for Belizeans to stick together, helping one another, lending a hand when you can, and moving a progressive Belize altogether.
